WORKING SESSION: DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL SPHERE, PREVENTIVE MEASURES ON HEALTH PROTECTION OF CITIZENS AND SUPPORT OF THE ECONOMY
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held working session with participation of Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers P. Agamyradov and G. Mushikov where measures for mitigation f negative impact of COVID-19 pandemic on national economy as well as reforms in education sphere have been discussed.
First, Vice-premier P. Agamyroadov made a report on the situation in the structures under his supervision. Steadfast improvement of efficiency of health protection system has been highlighted in the report. At the same time, information about results of integrated preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus infection in the country has been presented.
It was informed that work for training of personnel in specialities required for national economy, development of modern educational methods in secondary professional education facilities and introduction of new disciplines is carried out at present.
Graduation exams are continued in educational institutions as well as preparation to university entry campaign, for organization of which advanced world practice and modern technologies are applied, is ongoing.
Summing up the report, the President of Turkmenistan highlighted that large-scale activity aimed at prevention of the spread of dangerous infectious disease has to have systematic and scientifically based character.
Having focused on the necessity of joint work with profile structures taking into account complicated situation in the world, Turkmen leader addressed Vice-premier with number of specific instructions.
Special attention has to be paid to digitization of the economy under successful realization of reforms in scientific and educational system, Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov continued. Improvement of activity in this direction with the focus on science, training of qualified, creatively thinking young specialists who know the achievements of scientific and technical progress are the utmost objectives in this direction.
It is necessary to approach the issues of improvement of personnel potential for all sections of national economy on integrated basis, the President noted, having requested to provide high organizational level of entry exams for applicants to national high educational institutes.
Modernization of the system of educational and professional training as well as activity of profile structures according to time realities are among the main directions. In this context, the Vice-premier was requested to study the capabilities of introduction of new specialities to educational system.
Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov set definition of quotas for the entrants to national high educational institutes and development of relative regulations among the main objectives.
Further, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers G. Mushikov reported on fulfilment of assignments for further development of banking and financial sectors, introduction of new methods and technologies, organization of activity of the structures under his supervision considering time realities.
Having listened to the report, the President noted that development of the economy on scientific base is important requirement of the present. At the same time, it was highlighted that it is necessary to hold under control provision of stable growth of national economy as well as to take measures for increment of production capacities.
Speaking of importance of rapid developing market relations on innovatin and advanced technologies base, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that new mechanisms and forms of management appear in these conditions. In this regard, the focus has been made on the necessity of implementation of modern methods of economic management.
Having focused on the subjects of improvement of organizational structures of the facilities for improvement of efficiency of work and competiveness of facilities, the Head of the State requested to take all measures for fulfilment of plans.
Having requested to prepare to extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the outcomes of development of national economy for the first half of the year on comprehensive base, the Head of the State gave assignment to develop proposals on successful solution of current objectives.
Considering complicated situation in the world, it is necessary to take specific measures aimed at health protection of the population, mitigation of negative impact on development of branches of the economy, the Head of the State highlighted.
Number of other issues of comprehensive development of Turkmenistan and strengthening of health of the population has been reviewed during working session. Special emphasis has been laid on provision of coordinated activity of all structures.
Finishing the session, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished success in solution of set objectives to the participants.
