CIS INTERPARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY HOLDS A REGULAR MEETING
An interparliamentary delegation of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan has participated in a regular meeting of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States and a plenary meeting of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly conducted via videoconferencing.
Heads and members of parliamentary delegations of the CIS member states, representatives of CIS agencies and international organizations were among those attending the meetings remotely.
The participants discussed the Draft Convention for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage Properties of the CIS Member States, the Draft Model Labor Code of the CIS Member States, the Draft Model Election Code of the CIS Member States, as well as a number of draft model laws: “On Refugees”, “On Engineering Activities and Engineering”, “On Shared-Equity Construction of Real Estate Properties”, “On Environmental Safety of Oil Pipeline Transportation”, “On the Development and Protection of Mountain Areas”, “On Parliamentary Control”, “On School Sport”, among others.
The plenary meeting of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly focused on cooperation in the field of digital development of the CIS member nations and drafting proposals concerning the use of unified approaches to electronic transmission of laws adopted in the CIS member countries.
The Draft Model Intellectual Property Code of the CIS Member States, and the draft model laws: “On State Support for Cinematography” and “On Theater and Theatrical Activity” received special consideration during the meeting.
