TURKMEN PEOPLE’S CULTURE AND ARTS ARE PRESENTED IN ANKARA

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey jointly with the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) organized the exhibition "Culture and Art of Turkmenistan".

TURKSOY Secretary General of Dusen Kasseinov, Chief Adviser to the Turkish President Yalçın Topçu, Chairman of the Turkey-Turkmenistan Parliamentary Friendship Group Ibrahim Aydemir, Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Economic Cooperation Organization Adem Kula, representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as scientific and creative intelligentsia, students from Turkmenistan studying at universities in Ankara, Turkish journalists attended the exhibition opening ceremony.

Speaking during the ceremony, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Turkey Ishanguly Amanlyev, TURKSOY Secretary General of Dusen Kasseinov, Adviser to the Turkish President Yalçın Topçu and members of the Turkish parliament emphasized the phenomenon of the neutral status of Turkmenistan, the political and legal principles of which are aimed at pursuing national interests, taking into account historical, geopolitical, ethnocultural aspects, and developing fruitful international cooperation to ensure global peace and sustainable development. The Ambassador of Turkmenistan also widely covered the cultural and humanitarian aspects of the state policy of Turkmenistan.

The works by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which presented the historical retrospective of the evolution of mental values and the development of arts and crafts, occupied the special place at the exposition, aimed at popularizing the cultural traditions and art of the Turkmen people. Moreover, the visitors to the exhibition got acquainted with the original samples of the national costume, the works of painters and jewelers, folk musical instruments, thematic photographs.

The guests of the exposition tasted the best dishes of the national cuisine, getting acquainted with the gastronomic traditions of the Turkmen people.
