AN ONLINE CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE PERMANENT NEUTRALITY OF TURKMENISTAN WAS HELD IN LONDON
On December 3, 2020, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland organized an online conference entitled "The Role of Turkmenistan's Neutrality in Ensuring Regional Stability and International Security", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent Neutrality.
The conference was attended by the representatives of the British Parliament, the International Maritime Organization, professors, graduate students, as well as students of higher educational institutions of the country.
At the beginning of the conference, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan made a statement, who told the participants about the history of Turkmen neutrality, the importance and role of Turkmenistan in ensuring regional and international peace and security, as well as about the initiatives put forward by the country at various international organizations.
Then professors and post-graduate students of UK universities spoke. They congratulated Turkmenistan and the Turkmen people on the 25th anniversary of Neutrality. The British representatives noted the importance of the policy of positive Neutrality of Turkmenistan pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. It was noted that Turkmenistan plays an important role in maintaining regional security, stability and sustainable development.
The footage of the video film about the achievements of Turkmenistan during the years of Neutrality made a special impression on the participants of the videoconference.
