Ambassador of Turkmenistan Visited Khalifa University

On March 11, 2026, H.E. Mr. Bayram Bayramov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the UAE, met with the President of Khalifa University, Professor Ebrahim Al Hajri, at the University’s main campus in Abu Dhabi. The meeting focused on establishing strategic institutional partnerships between Khalifa University and leading higher education institutions of Turkmenistan to foster cooperation in science, technology, and innovation.

The sides discussed academic exchange mechanisms, Master’s and PhD programs, and joint research initiatives. Ambassador Bayramov highlighted upcoming events in Ashgabat, including the Open Mathematical Olympiad (OMOUS 2026) and the International Exhibition on Healthcare, Education and Sport. Following these invitations, the parties agreed to initiate expert-level online consultations to formalize the partnership.

The visit concluded with a tour of the University’s advanced robotics and medical research laboratories.
