AGRARIANS OF THE EASTERN REGIONS START RICE HARVESTING

Rice harvest season has started in Lebap Region. The region is the largest in Turkmenistan producer of valuable food crop, 10,200 hectares, which were released after wheat harvesting, have been sown with rice

It is mainly Nukus-2 rice, which is cultivated in the east of the country. It is well adapted to local soil and climate conditions and distinguished with high productivity and good taste. Modern high production harvesters are used in the campaign. Rice producers of Lebap region plan to produce 47,400 tons of rice.
