Meeting Between Ambassador of Turkmenistan and Bureau Veritas Vice President Focuses on Expanding Maritime Transport Cooperation

On September 26, 2024, at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the UAE, Ambassador S. Garajayev held a meeting with Mr. Kerem Kiper, Vice President of Marine & Offshore in the India, Middle East & Africa Zone at Bureau Veritas. The discussion focused on key issues regarding bilateral relations and avenues for cooperation.

A central topic was the potential expansion of collaboration in the maritime transport sector. The Turkmen side proposed establishing a direct relationship with the «Türkmendeňizderýaýollary» Agency to facilitate joint efforts and address industry challenges. Additionally, the Turkmen side invited Mr. Kiper to visit Turkmenistan, where meetings could be arranged to further discuss specific areas of bilateral cooperation and explore additional partnership opportunities.

The meeting also addressed the possibility of opening a Bureau Veritas branch in Turkmenistan, driven by the ongoing development of the country's shipyard. Both parties expressed a strong commitment to enhancing their partnership and emphasized the importance of long-term collaboration in the region.
