Ambassador Bayram Bayramov meets representatives of the UAE National Library and Archives

On 28 August 2026, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the UAE Bayram Bayramov met with representatives and experts of the National Library and Archives of the UAE. The sides discussed prospects for cooperation between the relevant institutions of the two countries.

Particular attention was given to engagement with the Dovletmammet Azady Library in Arkadag city, designed for 600 readers and three million storage units. The talks covered exchange of experience, professional training, digitisation of collections and joint exhibition projects.

The Ambassador briefed his counterpart on the forthcoming session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, convened on 23 September 2026 at the Maslahat Palace in Ashgabat, with an agenda including preparations for the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.

The sides agreed to continue contacts and to arrange the Ambassador’s visit to the National Library and Archives for a meeting with the leadership of the institution and an in-depth discussion of cooperation.
