The National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty met with the Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council

On December 17, 2024, the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council Eric Stewart.

Expressing gratitude for the meeting, Mr. Stewart emphasized the great interest of the US business community in working in the Turkmen market, where favorable conditions have been created for constructive activity.

Taking this opportunity, the guest shared his impressions of the Turkmen nature and the diversity of its fauna. In this regard, Eric Stewart emphasized that Turkmenistan's careful attitude to the environment, including large-scale measures taken to protect and enrich its biodiversity and maintain environmental well-being, serves as an example for the whole world.

Noting the enormous support of the international community for Turkmenistan's initiatives in the field of ecology, the businessman emphasized that environmental activities in Turkmenistan are the result of the state environmental policy laid down by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Having thanked for the kind words, Hero-Arkadag noted the special attention paid in Turkmenistan to the environmental aspect of state policy, emphasizing the country's active interaction in this area with authoritative international structures, primarily with the United Nations.

The high assessment of Turkmenistan's efforts at the international level is evidenced by the resolutions of the UN General Assembly adopted in 2024 at the initiative of Turkmenistan: "2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust", "Central Asia - a zone of peace, trust and cooperation", "United Nations Friendship Games", "Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia". Speaking about this, the National Leader of the Turkmen people thanked the United States of America for their support among the first.

Being committed to the principles of neutrality, Turkmenistan makes a significant contribution to the efforts of the world community to maintain universal well-being and sustainable development. In this regard, it is noteworthy that in 2025 a significant date will be solemnly celebrated - the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan gaining the legal status of permanent neutrality, to which a number of international events are timed, Hero-Arkadag emphasized.

At the meeting, it was noted that the United States of America is one of the key strategic partners of Turkmenistan. In recent years, traditionally friendly relations between the two countries have been consistently expanding based on the principles of mutual respect and understanding. At the same time, the importance of American business circles in the context of bilateral cooperation in trade, economics, energy, agriculture and transport was emphasized. The Turkmen-American Business Council plays a significant role in expanding the partnership.

 During the meeting, Hero-Arkadag noted with satisfaction the successful activities of American companies in strategically important sectors of the national economy, as well as the growing interest of US business circles in partnership with Turkmenistan.

 At the end of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov confirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to further develop interstate dialogue and, taking the opportunity, thanked the Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council Eric Stewart for his personal contribution to expanding cooperation between the two states.
