ANNIVERSARY FORUM OF INTERNATIONAL AHALTEKE EQUESTRIAN ASSOCIATION: NEW MEMBERS, ONLINE GREETINGS OF FOREIGN HORSE BREEDERS

Having noted that International Ahalteke Equestrian Association has 10th anniversary this year, the Head of the State warmly congratulated the participants on this remarkable date as well as on National Turkmen Horse Holiday, having wished success in development of equestrian sphere to every one.

The President said that issues of further development of ahalteke horse breeding and equestrian sports on international level would be reviewed at the session.

In addition, new members would be taken on to International Ahalteke Equestrian Association, Orders on conferring of members of the Association who carry out t fruitful work for development of ahalteke horse breeding in our country and abroad with the state awards of Turkmenistan would be signed.

Moreover, place and time of XI session of this organization would be defined, fu-ture objectives would be discussed and relative decisions would be made, President Gurban-guly Berdimuhamedov noted.

Big work has been done for 10 years after foundation of to International Ahalteke Equestrian Association. At present, 155 legal entities and individuals from 34 countries are members of the Association. They have made many things for development of horse breed-ing, which made positive effect on the growth of livestock of ahalteke horses and number of their connoisseurs abroad.

The President of Turkmenistan highlighted that big steadfast work is carried out in the country for popularization of ahalteke horses, which were bred up and trained throughout many centuries in Turkmen land. Equestrian complexes meeting world standards have been built and put into operation for development of equestrian industry and organization of com-petitions and contests of international level.

Many things have been also done for training of profile specialists, modern struc-tures for scientifically based development of horse breeding, strengthening of equipment and facility base have been made.

The government has invested 680 million US dollars for improvement of social and living conditions of our horse breeders. We would continue large-scale work in this direction, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.

As is known, National Turkmen Horse holiday is observed in Turkmenistan on the last Sunday of April. International ahalteke horse beauty contest and scientific and practical conference dedicated to topical issues of horse breeding, races and competitions are held to mark this holiday.

Art contests are organized for artistic embodiment of beauty of ahalteke horses in works of visual, decorative and applied art. These events enhance the glory of world famous ahalteke horses.

Further, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that establishment of Inter-national Ahalteke Equestrian Association made strong foundation for protection of purity of ahalteke horses in the world, increment of livestock and wide popularization.

At the same time, our country makes all conditions for international competitions like races, national equestrian games and other sports including show jumping and marathon.

Special attention is also paid to training masters of races and other equestrian sports, show jumping competitions and national equestrian games. For these purposes, spe-cial training centre has been opened under Ashgabat Equestrian Centre, modern indoor and open arenas meeting international standards have been built.

Relative work for formation of legal, economic and organizational bases of devel-opment of horse breeding and equestrian sport has been carried out. The Law of Turkmeni-stan on Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sports, which is aimed at protection of gene pool of thoroughbred ahalteke horses and regulating relations appearing during breeding and use of horses, have been adopted.

This document makes legal guarantees for improvement of pedigree livestock in horse breeding sphere, protection of gene core of national horses, which are the part of inter-national gene pool, their breeding and improvement, supports the development of horse breeding and equestrian sports as well as to achievement of high results in this direction, the President said.

Galkynysh National Equestrian Group makes deserving contribution on glorification of ahalteke horses, popularization of the art of horse breeding. Speaking of this, the head of the State brought as example successful performance of this Group at circus festivals in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, Italy, People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan where Turkmen horse riders have won grand prix and gold cups. As is known, the programme of V Asian Indoor and Martial Art Games, which were held in Ashgabat in September 2017, such sports as a show jumping, has been included for the first time. Continuing, the Head of the State highlighted again that our country, the ancient home of the horses, carries out large-scale work aimed at development of equestrian sports on the world level.

We would continue putting all efforts to provide successful performance of our ahalteke horses at international competitions, the head of the state said.

It was mentioned that development of horse breeding industry, restoration of an-cient breed lines, protection of purity and increment of livestock of horses. Beneficial coop-eration with foreign horse breeders has significantly activated in these spheres.

Young personnel is trained in different directions of horse breeding and equestrian sports in high and secondary specialized educational institutes of the country.

International horse breeding school and Scientific and production centre are built in new administrative centre of Ahal Velayat, which is also under construction, for these pur-poses as well as for deep study of unique features of ahalteke horses, their history, horse breeding and selection work on scientific base.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that this is another bright evi-dence of special attention that he government pays to development of equestrian industry on international level.

Work of Turkmen and foreign horse breeders for breeding of ahalteke horses is highly appreciated. We award such titles as Honoured Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan, Mas-ter Jockey of Turkmenistan and National Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan. This work would be continued in future.

Important role is given to magazine “Sky Ahalteke Horse”, which is published by International Ahalteke Horse Association in Turkmen, Russian and English languages, in wide highlighting and introduction of historical and other valuable information about national eques-trian art to the world community.

Special website of the Association, which provides news in equestrian sphere, gives information about ahalteke horse contests, international exhibitions and conferences is to support to coordination of activity of this structure, horse breeders, specialists and ex-perts.

As is known ahalteke horses attract connoisseurs with its exterior, grace, speed and therefore, these horses are bred in many countries. In this regard, the President stated with de-light the fact that after establishment of Association, number of connoisseurs of this horses as well as those who wish to breed them has significantly increased and this number is growing every year.

Having made special mention of positive role of the Association in establishment of fruitful cooperation between Turkmen and many foreign horse breeders, the Head of the state expressed the confidence that cooperation between the members of this public organization would be continue din the future.

After, the floor was given to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E. Ora-zgeldiyev who reported on work in our country under patronage of the Head of the State for breeding of thoroughbred ahalteke horses, achievements in protection and increment of live-stock of this unique breed.

It was mentioned that Turkmenistan takes steadfast measures for formation of modern infrastructure of equestrian sphere, which in its turn, has stimulated the development of equestrian sports and international cooperation in selection and breed work, establishment of racing industry, training of jockeys and coaches. Methods of Turkmen horse breeding, which efficiency is proven by centuries, national training school attract interested attention of professionals from different countries.

Huge merit in restoration of the world glory of ahalteke horses belongs to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which support helped national horse breeding to find deserved place in life of the country, having consolidated heritage, culture, historical experience of the nation and its hard work.

International Ahalteke Equestrian Association has been established ten years ago by initiative of Head of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. It united horse breeders specialized in breeding of ahalteke horses, training of horses for equestrian competitions as well as scientists and other connoisseurs of famous horses from different countries.

For short historical period, this organization has become an effective ground for cooperation between national and foreign horse breeders. Regular meetings and consultations of members of the Association give new impulse to joint efforts aimed at protection of the phenomenon of ahalteke breed as unique occurrence of the world culture, give opportunity to share experience, to familiarize innovations and achievements in this sphere, enrich partner-ship with new projects, actual ideas and business contacts.

On behalf of all personnel of the industry, having expressed gratitude to the Presi-dent of the country for huge attention paid to development of Turkmen horse breeding, per-manent help in strengthening of its equipment and material base, comprehsnive care of nationa horse breeders, E. Orazgeldiyev proposed to institute honoured title “Türkmenistanyň ussat halypa seýisi”.

Having approved the proposal and addressed the Speaker of the Mejlis, the Head of the state focused on the necessity of proper work for making necessary amendments and addendums of legal acts.

Under applauses of the participants, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Orders on conferring of the state awards to distinguished horse breeders of the country and honoured title «Türkmenistanyň at gazanan atşynasy» (Honoured Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan) to active members of International Ahalteke Horse Association.

Turkmen leader cordially congratulated national and foreign horse breeders, having expressed gratitude for their work for enhancement of the world glory of ahalteke horses and wished new professional success to all.

After, the Head of the State gave floor to member of International Ahalteke Eques-trian Association, Director of Equestrian Company Jeýkob Ferdezuçt GBR (Germany) Mrs Katarina – Irina Anna – Margaret Jacob who participated in the video conference session.

Addressing President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Mrs Katarina – Irina Anna – Margaret Jacob noted that ahalteke horses have become permanent adornment of all events not only in hospitable land of Turkmenistan but also in all parts of the world where ahalteke horses are bred owing to permanent care of Turkmen leader.

It was highlighted that Turkmenistan is an example in development of equestrian in-dustry and strengthening of its equipment and facility base for the whole world in the result of activity of the Head of the State who demonstrates high example of sincere love and tender feeling to horses.

Noble work of horse breeding is deservingly appreciated. Honoured titles in this sphere are awarded to foreign colleagues together with distinguished Turkmen horse breeders. This is a sign of big respect and support of personnel of this sphere all over the world.

Mrs Jacob noted that award of honoured title to her and some of few colleagues was unforgettable and historical event in her life and raised a feeling of pride. Having ex-pressed gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for honour, the Director of Equestrian Company Jeýkob Ferdezuçt GBR cordially congratulated the Head of the State on National Turkmen Horse Holiday and wished strong health, longevity and success in his activ-ity.

Having congratulated Mrs Jacob on award of honoured title, the President wished her new success in development of ahalteke horse breeding and enhancement of glory of ahalteke horses, which is a pride of Turkmen nation, on international level.

After, the President gave floor to President of Hungarian Ahalteke Equestrian As-sociation Mr Joseph Gyle Nyeke who also participated in video conference session.

Having expressed deep gratitude to the Head of the State, Mr Nyeke noted that Turkmen people have received big experience in training of horse throughout the centuries. At present time, Turkmen horse breeders work on the world level for improvement of this art and development of ahalteke horse breeding.

It was highlighted that achievement of the world science and modern technologies are actively introduced in this primordial branch in Turkmenistan, which brings it to the lead-ing positions.

It was mentioned that the Head of the State has a big love of ahalteke horses, dedi-cates them his free time and enthusiastically glorify ahalteke horses in his literary art. The books of the President of Turkmenistan dedicated to ahalteke horses speak about unique tra-ditions of breeding and training of horses – loyal companions of Turkmen people, with which their rich history and destiny are connected, that are passed from generation to generation.

Having expressed gratitude for conferring of such high title, Mr Nyke highlighted that it has become indeed unforgettable and happy event. Taking opportunity, the Head of Hungarian Ahalteke Equestrian Association warmly congratulated the Head of the State on National Turkmen Horse Holiday.

Having congratulated Mr Nyeke on award of honoured title звания «Türkmeni-stanyň at gazanan atşynasy», the President wished him future success in hobble activity for protection of purity of the breed and popularization of beautiful ahalteke horses in the world.

Under applauses of the participants, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution on introducing of relative citizens of foreign countries and Turkmeni-stan to the members of International Ahalteke Equestrian Association.

The Head of the State congratulated new members of the Association and wished them big success in solution of objectives of the organization.

After, the floor was given to Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Environment Coun-cil of the Kingdom of Bahrain Sheikh Faysal Bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa who participated in session by video call.

Taking opportunity, Sheikh Faysal conveyed warm greetings of the King of Bahrain who addressed congratulations to the head of the State on the beginning of the Holy month of Ramadan and wishes of strong health, prosperity and peace.

Having expressed sincere gratitude for taking to the membership of International Ahalteke Equestrian Association, often guest of Turkmenistan noted that he studied culture and history of our beautiful country where horse breeding is developed rapidly for many years.

You put huge efforts for protection and popularization of the ancient horse breed in the world, which conquer with their beauty and statue, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme En-vironment Council of the Kingdom of Bahrain highlighted, having proudly added that he him-self devoted his life to development of horse breeding and equestrian sports in his country where big work in this direction is also carried out.

Having expressed readiness to make his contribution to the activity of International Ahalteke Equestrian Association, which united connoisseurs of this breed from all over the world, Sheikh Faysal Rashid Bin Isa Al Khalifa congratulated all on National Turkmen Horse Holiday and addressed fraternal people f Turkmenistan with wishes of peace, goodness and prosperity.

Having expressed gratitude for substantial speech and good words addressed to Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude that Sheikh Faysal would participate actively in development of Turkmen – Bahraini relations in equestrian sphere as a new member of International Ahalteke Equestrian Association.

The floor was given to Deputy of the Parliament of Romania, Head of Inter-parliamentary Turkmenistan – Romania Friendship Commission Mr Antal Ishtvan Yanos.

Having expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for election to the members of International Ahalteke Equestrian Association, the spokesman highlighted that he accept this event as a great honour.

Antal Ishtvan Yanos continued that during the opportunity to travel to ancient Turkmen land, he was lucky to see the traditions, customs, culture and history of Turkmen nation. Ahalteke horses, which are one of the most ancient and beautiful horses in the world, made special impression.

Indeed, ahalteke horses confirm the fact that there is no culture and art of horse breeding equal to yours. The methods of pedigree work, ways of bringing up horses are amazing. I’m glad that I witness the reaching of this high targets, Romanian parliamentarian said.

Having noted that he was engaged in popularization of thoroughbred ahalteke hors-es in his country for many years, the spokesman assured that he would continue supporting the development of Association in his parliamentary work.

Having expressed gratitude for taking him to the membership of International Ahalteke Equestrian Association, Antal Ishtvan Yanos congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and all members of this representative organization on National Turkmen Horse Holiday, having wished strong health, longevity and success in activity for the pros-perity of Turkmenistan.

Having expressed gratitude to Antal Ishtvan Yanos for warm words about our country, the Head of the State expressed confidence that Romanian deputy would take active part in popularization of ahalteke horses in the world together with development of inter-parliamentary relations.

After, the President of Turkmenistan under applauses of participants signed the Resolution on the next, XI session of International Ahalteke Equestrian Association in Ash-gabat in April 2021.

The Head of the State highlighted that our horses made significant input to the for-mation of the world equestrian culture. Therefore, we would continue traditions inherited from our ancestors for development of this sphere. We would increase the scale of our activity to pass these traditions to younger generations, to make them love these beautiful animals.

Finishing the session, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants on the 10th anniversary of International Ahalteke Equestrian As-sociation and National Turkmen Horse Holiday, having wished big success in work to all.
