FLOWER LAYING CEREMONY TAKES PLACE ON OCCASION OF THE CONSTITUTION AND STATE FLAG DAY
Turkmenistan observed the Constitution and State Flag Day. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the events on occasion of this remarkable date in Ashgabat.
Being the main state symbols of the country, the Main Law and green banner embody inviolability of the foundations of independence, invariable commitment of Turkmen people to ideals of peace, creation, humanity and goodness in this new historical age.
These ideals are put into the base of progressive home and foreign policy of Turkmenistan, which is steadily pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and gained support of international community.
Members of the Government, heads of the Mejlis, military and law enforcement agencies, ministers and departments, hyakims of Ashgabat and etraps of the capital, elders, representatives of public organizations, mass media, students, cultural and art personnel, citizens have gathered at the Monument of the Constitution in the morning.
Vehicle of the President has come to decorated square in front of the Monument of the Constitution. Everybody greeted Turkmen leader with enthusiasm.
The Head of the State went by carpet path, along which warriors of the Guard of Honour have lined up, to special place on the square in front of the Monument of the Constitution. National Anthem of Turkmenistan was played.
The President has laid the wreath to the Monument of the Constitution. Following Turkmen leader, all participants of the ceremony have laid their flowers.
After completion of flower laying ceremony to the Monument of the Constitution, the events have moved to the square with 133-meter flagpole with the State Flag of Turkmenistan.
Vehicle of the President have come to the square in front of the flagpole. The participants warmly welcomed Turkmen leader. In the solemn atmosphere, the President of Turkmenistan has laid beautiful flowers to the pedestal of giant flagpole. All participants of the ceremony have put flowers after the Head of the State.
Turkmen people have always took great care of their flag. The banner, having deep roots in national history, embodies sovereignty and right of the nation to the way of own development, political self-determination and own social and economic model.
The state symbols harmonically combine national patterns and spiritual with human values, has deep meaning and expresses how Turkmens see their future. Green silk canvas bears patterns of Turkmen carpet, five stars and crescent embodying fraternity and unity, renewal and the life itself.
Celebration events in honour the Constitution and Turkmenistan National Flag Day were held all over the country.
