UNIVERSAL CHILDREN’S DAY IS A SUBJECT OF EVENT OF THE UNICEF REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE IN TURKMENISTAN
The Institute of State, Law and Democracy together with the Reprsentative Office the UN Children Fund (UNICEF) in turkmenistan havs organized thematic event dedicated to the Universal Children’s Day, which is observed on November 20, and to the anniversary of the Convention on Children’s Rights.
Representatives of National Parliament, the ombudsman office, ministries of foreign affairs, health protection and medical industry, education, justice, interior, finances and economy, sports and youth affairs, labor and social protection of the population as well as the State Statistics Committee, the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography, universities and mass media were among the participants of video conference session.
Heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan have also taken part in the event.
Head of the UNICEF Office in Turkmenistan Christin Veigand has introduced the priorities and aspects of the Country’s Program of Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN Children Fund developed for 2021 – 2025 to the participants of online meeting.
This Program is a contribution to large-scale work carried out by Head of Turkmen State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for implementation of the Sustainable Development Global Agenda until 2030 and the Sustainable development goals relate to children.
The participants of the meeting have spoken about impressive achievements of the country in different spheres, which are aimed at making of conditions for happy and prosperous life of young Turkmenistan citizens.
