THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN HOLDS THE SESSION ON DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURAL COMPLEX
On December 7, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference working session with the officials of agricultural complex with participation of some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers where heads of relative ministry and profile departments have been also invited.
Fulfilment of adopted resolutions, conducted works for improvement of the efficiency of agricultural complex, its transit to digital system, provision of the population with various food products have been reviewed at the session.
First, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers G. Mushikov has reported on fulfilment of instructions given by the President of the country, in particular on finding of the programs in agricultural complex, measures for stimulation of activity of agricultural producers.
Further, the President has called Minister of Agriculture and Natural Protection M. Bayramdurdiyev who reported on current work for intensification of the process of development of agricultural sphere, further improvement of its equipment and facility base, steadfast introduction of advanced world practice and latest scientific achievements to production.
Chairman of the State Water Management Committee G. Bayjanov has reported on program activity for development of the industry, strengthening of its equipment and facility base and improvement of water provision.
At the same time, it was reported that relative works are carried out under the second phase of construction of Altyn Asyr Turkmen Lak, which makes favorable effect on the ecology of entire Central Asian region.
Video conference working session was continued with the report of General Director of the State Association Türkmenatlary A. Berdiyev who reported on program activity for further enhancement of the world glory of ahalteke horses.
It was informed about renovation works in regional equestrian complexes, measures for formation of nutritious forage base for horses. In addition, the organizational issues related to celebration of National Turkmen Horse Day on the state level in 2021 at renovated hippodrome of Mary Region have been highlighted.
Further, the floor was given to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E. Orazgeldiyev. The Vice-premier has reported about the situation and reforms in agricultural complex.
Having listened to the reports, the Head of the State highlighted that it is necessary to put all efforts for further improvement of the efficiency of work of agricultural complex, having given specific instructions to the heads of relative departments in this context.
Addressing the participants of the video conference session, the Head of the State has outlined number of the utmost objectives. The Leader of the nation has noted that he pays special attention to the development of agricultural complex, which is one of the main sectors of national economy, and to implementation of regular reforms in the industry.
In this regard, addressing Vice-premier G. Mushikov and Chairman of the Central Bank M. Annadurdiyev, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has given specific instructions related to stimulating of agricultural producers by large-scale support provided by the government and huge resources invested to agricultural complex.
Having noted the importance of rational and effective use of agricultural fields and pastures, the President of Turkmenistan requested to take measures for improvement of productivity of the crops and seed production following positive international practice.
For this purpose, it is necessary to develop methodological guides for cultivation of various agricultural crops together with scientists, professors of relative Scientific and Research Institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the country, Turkmen Agricultural University, Turkmen Agricultural Institute in Dashoguz.
The Head of the State has given relative assignments for efficient use of specialized equipment and regular maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems.
Certain instructions were related to protection of the pedigree of ahalteke horses in the country, increment of their livestock and development of national school of coaching.
The Leader of the Nation has also requested to work on organization of various equestrian contests, study of foreign practice in this field as well as on incentives of young specialists.
President of the country Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that it is necessary to provide proper maintenance of equestrian complexes, regular renovation and commissioning works, to increase the income of the complexes, to conduct analysis for finding additional opportunities and to prepare relative proposals.
Summing up the session, the President of the country has noted that we have big objectives for further development of agricultural industry, strengthening of food security of the country, provision of abundance of agricultural production. Successful fulfilment of the objectives is a sacred duty of all of us, the Head of the State highlighted.
