THE REPRESENTATIVES OF TURKMENISTAN AND AFGHANISTAN HAVE DISCUSSED KEY ASPECTS OF COOPERATION
On January 8, 2021 the competent delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov arrived in Kabul, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for a working visit.
During the visit, Turkmen delegation had constructive talks with high-level officials of the Afghan government. In particular, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Hanif Atmar, the Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs Mohammad Qasim Halimi, as well as, the Acting Governor of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Ajmal Ahmadi, the General Director Of Afghanistan Railway Authority Yamma Shams, the CEO of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) Ahmad Dawood Noorzai.
A broad range of issues related to bilateral and multilateral cooperation has been covered in during the talks. The Parties also exchanged meaningful views to expand Turkmen-Afghan cooperation in all aspects representing mutual interests.
