Turkmenistan and Seychelles Discuss Expanding Bilateral Cooperation

On 16 February 2026, a meeting took place at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United Arab Emirates between Ambassador of Turkmenistan Bayram Bayramov and Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles to the UAE Gervais Moumou.

During the discussion, the parties reviewed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Particular attention was given to tourism, including visa procedures and opportunities to increase tourist exchanges. The Seychelles side noted favorable visa conditions for Turkmen citizens, while both sides expressed readiness to expand cooperation between tourism institutions.

Cultural interaction was also addressed, including the possibility of organizing cultural events and visits of creative groups. The Turkmen side reaffirmed its openness to holding cultural days abroad.

The parties discussed opportunities to develop diplomatic relations, cooperation in the field of higher education, and opportunities for students. They also supported the proposal to establish relations between the chambers of commerce and industry.
