Ambassador of Turkmenistan met with the Executive Director of Etihad Rail

On February 25, 2026, Mr. Bayram Bayramov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United Arab Emirates, met with Mr. Tariq Al Falahi, Executive Director for International Relations at Etihad Rail.

The meeting focused on the practical realization of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the railway authorities of Turkmenistan and the UAE during the Global Rail 2025 event held in Abu Dhabi in October 2025.

The sides held a comprehensive exchange of views on the progress of joint infrastructure initiatives aimed at enhancing regional connectivity between Central and South Asia. Highlighting the strategic nature of the bilateral partnership, the parties discussed further steps to coordinate technical cooperation and finalize future roadmaps.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to continue expert-level consultations to ensure the successful implementation of the long-term logistics strategy.
