Turkmenistan's Oil and Gas Leaders Meet with ADNOC
On July 29, 2024, Ashgabat hosted meetings between the leaders of Turkmenistan's oil and gas industry and the management of ADNOC (UAE).
A key aspect of the negotiations was ADNOC's willingness to collaborate with oil and gas companies from Kazakhstan. The Turkmen side has consistently supported the involvement of neighboring countries in its large-scale international gas projects.
During the discussions, led by ADNOC Senior Vice President Mr. Abdullah Al Shamsi, a broad range of issues regarding the third phase of the Galkynysh field development project was addressed.
Between 2022 and 2024, visits by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the United Arab Emirates solidified cooperation in the oil and gas sector, culminating in significant agreements outlining joint activities at the Galkynysh field. The implementation of these agreements is currently in full swing, with detailed considerations of legal, commercial, investment, financial, and technical aspects.
It should be noted that the implementation of such plans is directly related to the execution of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project.
