EFFICIENT DIALOGUE WITH THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY OF INDIA
Specialists from the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Textile Industry and its enterprises, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry held online meeting with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of India.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan Vidhu Peethambaran Nair and heads of a number of large Indian companies attended the meeting.
The meeting focused on the ways and mechanisms of enhancing trade and economic relations between the two countries, primarily in the field of light industry, supplies of textile products and leather goods.
The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the head of the Commerce Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India briefed the delegations of the two countries with the activities of their departments and specific proposals for the development of partnership.
The parties underlined the importance of regular business events, online meetings of the joint business council for the comprehensive study of the possibilities of expanding mutual trade.
In particular, the meeting participants talked about the export of textiles, leather products, carpets, etc. manufactured in Turkmenistan. Representatives of domestic enterprises Röwşen, Abadan haly, Muhammet-Balkan, Batly-Gadam presented their products and shared their vision ways of developing mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of the "open door" policy implemented by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The Indian partners spoke about their rich experience in the textile and leather industry, expressing the willingness to develop cooperation both in the field of organizing industrial production and in the supply of raw materials and finished products.
