AK HÜNJI EXPANDS A RANGE OF POLYMER PRODUCTS
Ak Hünji Individual Enterprise has begun the production of facing materials for external facades of buildings – cladding panels with a protective layer of polystyrene. Mary-based entrepreneurs are currently manufacturing two types of thermal insulated panels, six types of decorative exterior moldings, 18 types of an architectural element, and one type of faux wood beams.
Ever-increasing demand of state-run and privately owned building organizations for the enterprise’s polystyrene products gives impetus for the further expansion of its production facilities.
Production of these products is an important step towards taking advantage of the manufacturing capacity and capability of the building materials plant that opened its doors in early 2020. There are also plans to start the production of new products from polymers − EPS (expanded polystyrene) and XPS (extruded polystyrene), polypropylene, polyethylene, as well as wall and roof sandwich panels.
In 2021, the enterprise will open a production shop for decorative ceiling beams with improved surface from extruded polystyrene (XPS) with a capacity of 1,200,000 linear meters per year. The products will be intended for the domestic and foreign markets.
This investment project is being implemented with the assistance of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which gave the enterprise a loan of US $1,800,000 for the purchase of building materials and innovative equipment from a renowned Italian company.
Established in 2009, Ak Hünji is a leading producer of thermal insulation and decorative building materials from expanded polystyrene as well as sandwich panels in Turkmenistan. With many years’ experience and expertise in the sector, the company pursues its core business activities aimed at producing competitive products and satisfying the needs of the market to the full.
The enterprise boasts a certified laboratory that ensures incoming quality control for raw materials. Every batch of manufactured products is tested to verify that they comply with the State standards and requirements. The enterprise’s quality management system (QMS) has achieved the ISO 9001:2015 standard certification from SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification body.
Mary-based entrepreneurs have plans to refurbish and modernize their enterprise, which has been operating for 11 years, to boost the production of expanded polystyrene (EPS) products and to offer a wider selection of products with improved quality and aesthetic characteristics.
Thanks to sustained product quality, competent and effective management, an individual approach to every customer, the enterprise has established a solid reputation as a reliable partner and has gained a strong foothold in the domestic building materials market over the years.
