Ambassador of Turkmenistan meets Abu Dhabi Equine & Camel Hospital at ADIHEX 2026

On August 29, 2026, at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United Aarab Emirates Bayram Bayramov met with representatives and specialists of the Abu Dhabi Equine & Camel Hospital, the world's first dual-profile reference centre for horses and camels, currently completing construction in Al Wathba with its opening planned for December 2026.

The sides discussed practical areas of cooperation in veterinary medicine, horse breeding and training. The Ambassador presented Turkmenistan's national infrastructure in this field: the Aba Annaev International Academy of Horse Breeding, veterinary training conducted jointly with the Turkmen Agricultural University, and the new Research and Production Centre of Horse Breeding in Arkadag city. Exchange of research materials, joint publications, short-term courses, internships and master classes were identified as promising formats.

The Ambassador informed his counterpart about the Akhal-Teke Horse Championship, held for the first time on 4-6 September 2026 at the Peelbergen Equestrian Centre in Kronenberg, the Netherlands. The championship is addressed to an international audience and aims to promote the Akhal-Teke breed worldwide.

The sides agreed to continue contacts and to organise a separate visit of the Ambassador to the hospital after its opening, including a meeting with its leadership for more detailed discussions.
